Alert: TRAFFIC IMPACT East Cypress Road at Main Street. Situation occurring today (10/16) and possibly tomorrow (10/17).
A large sewer line has broken on East Cypress Road, just east of Main Street. Crews are onsite to conduct the repairs. The nature of the broken line has caused the two left hand turn lanes from west bound East Cypress Road onto south bound Main Street to be shut down.
This has effectively brought that section of road down from three lanes to only one lane to handle all south bound and north bound turns and through traffic.
This situation may extend into tomorrow. Traffic will be negatively impacted as a result.
Instructions:
Find alternate routing if possible. Use Sellers Avenue and Knightsen Avenue off of East Cypress Road, if possible, to avoid Main Street. Allow extra time and exercise patience in the area. If possible try to set up carpools to pick up school students from Iron House and Delta Vista schools.
