Principal's Message

Dear Vintage Parkway Families,

My name is Amani Rai and I am delighted to have the opportunity to introduce myself as the new principal of Vintage Parkway. This will be my 10th year in education. My career started in Fresno Unified School District as a 5th grade teacher for 3 years. My husband and I then moved to Brentwood and I taught 6th grade in Fremont Unified School. After 2 years of a long commute, I decided to move to Oakley. I taught 6th grade at Delta Vista Middle School for 2 years and served as the Assistant Principal at Vintage Parkway for the past 2 years.

As your new principal, my primary goal is to foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and academic excellence. I am committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning. I firmly believe that when students feel supported and engaged, they are more likely to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I am excited to work with our dedicated teachers, support staff, and parents to enhance the educational journey of each student at Vintage Parkway. By fostering open lines of communication, encouraging active parental involvement, and nurturing positive relationships between staff and families, we can ensure that our students receive the best possible education and support. I encourage you to share your thoughts, ideas, and concerns as we embark on this educational journey together. My office door will always be open, and I am here to support both students and families in any way I can.

Once again, I feel honored to have been selected as the principal of Vintage Parkway, and I am eager to begin this journey alongside each and every one of you. Together, let us create an environment where every child thrives, where dreams are nurtured, and where students develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the ever-changing world.

Thank you for your warm welcome, and I am excited to embark on this remarkable educational journey with all of you!

Sincerely,

Amani Rai, Principal, Vintage Parkway
